Sainte Foy

Sainte Foy is pretty unique. It is purpose built but has been developed so sympathetically that you would be forgiven to think otherwise. The striking buildings hide a plethora of excellent accommodation and all the services you would expect in a modern resort. With a good snow record it is easy to understand why many people return year after year to this wonderful resort.

Transfer Times

Sainte Foy transfer times (approximate times based on normal road conditions)

Geneva 3 hours
Lyon 2 hours 45 minutes
Grenoble 2 hours 45 minutes
Chambery 2 hours

Sainte Foy can be reached from Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery airports. If you are travelling on a Saturday, particularly at high season, then be prepared for traffic. The main road into the region supports access to many ski resorts so whilst Sainte Foy maybe the final destination the combined volume of traffic from all the resorts can be very significant. The local authorities monitor the motorway at Moutiers and use traffic lights to ‘pulse’ the traffic as it leaves the motorway to enter the Tarentaise valley so expect some delays here at the weekends. For your departure we would recommend leaving resort as early as possible. Transferring through Bourg St Maurice before the majority of holidaymakers is advisable, even if you end up with a little extra time at the airport.
