Flaine

Flaine is a purpose built resort that has been popular for a long time, but has benefitted from a lot of investment in recent years. There are now many accommodation options including some great new developments with fantastic facilities. Nestled in a beautiful bowl, Flaine boasts some of the best views of Mont Blanc around. As part of the Grand Massif ski area, there are 256 km of pistes on offer, including the linked resorts of Les Carroz and Samoens. The Flaine to Geneva transfer is relatively short and coupled with a spectacular snow record, it is definitely one to consider.

The Ski Area

A perfect spot for beginners with it’s excellent ski schools and beginner slopes. Many holiday makers return year after year having learned in Flaine. For those with a little more experience it is fantastic. The main Flaine bowl provides plenty of good intermediate pistes and the wide Grand Massif is a blast. Long sweeping runs and plenty of great tree lined skiing. There are a good number of challenging blacks and some great off piste to explore so definitely worth hiring a guide and exploring.
